Black 'n' Blue Belles vs. Red Bellied Black Hearts 24 August 2013

Black 'n' Blue Belles vs Red Bellied Black Hearts 2013

The Canberra Roller Derby League’s sixth season continues, with the fourth bout for this year on August 24th.

Clashing on the track for the first time since the 2012 grand final will be last year's champions, the Black 'n' Blue Belles, and the Red Bellied Black Hearts (the 2011 champs). Previous bouts have seen these teams alternate in defeating the other by a slim margin, so who will walk away victorious this game? Will it be the Black 'n' Blue Belles, looking to get into gear for another season of CRDL Darby Derby Cup ownership? Already with a solid win under their blue petals, having taken on the Surly Griffins and winning 246-143. OR can the Black Hearts band together and emerge, madder and more poisonous than cut snakes, after being narrowly sunk to the depths of Davey Jones' locker by the Brindabelters in March, 236-234?

It’s going to be derby the way Canberra loves its full-contact roller skate sports: fast, furious, and full of hits -- but without compromising on cerebral tactics. Make sure to get your tickets to avoid missing out on what promises to be an excellent reunion!

Tickets on sale now though ezyBoxOffice.

Our half time entertainment on the night are Lavers! Last year, the band supported the triple j Hottest 100 winning artist, Julia Stone, and was a finalist in MusicACT's Song of the Year category.
